Responsible for crafting short- to medium-form, customer-focused content for a global audience delivered through various American owned channels (digital & print).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, Arts, or English; or equivalent experience/training
5+ years of experience writing concise copy for a major global brand in a variety of channels
Must have online portfolio/samples of work
Preferred Qualifications
Travel industry experience or general knowledge of the airline industry or loyalty programs
Agency experience
Skills, Licenses & Certs
Knowledge of customer content needs and ability to tailor copy to the audience
Knowledge and understanding of AP style and copywriting best practices for digital content including SEO, accessibility, user experience, analytics and information architecture
Ability to understand industry jargon and translate into understandable concepts
Self-starter attitude with experience implementing goals, using analytical skills and being adaptable to change
Demonstrated success in collaborating across teams
Ability to work quickly and efficiently with a team and individually
Working knowledge of content strategy

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
Essential Job Functions
Concept and draft copy (and at times, narratives) for various programs and ad hoc projects, ensuring content is accurate, follows brand standards, and is engaging and customer-friendly
Translates content into clear and concise messaging that can be easily understood by our customers
Works in partnership with Marketing Communications, Global Digital Content, Email Marketing, and other channel owners, to ensure that content is channel-appropriate
Makes necessary adjustments to copy based on feedback from business units and copy editors
