Our client is an award-winning luxury hotel group based in the Caribbean. We are assisting them in their search for a Director of Food & Beverage to work at one of their beautiful all-inclusive properties!

Responsibilities:

• Direct and organize the activity of the Food and Beverage Department to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and merchandising to maximize profits
• Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food and Beverage Department to meet the daily needs of the operation
• Implement effective control of food, beverage, and labor costs among all sub-departments
• Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage sub-departments
• Develop, implement and monitor schedules for the operation of all restaurants and bars to achieve a profitable result
• Participate with the chef and restaurant managers in the creation of attractive and merchandising menus designed to attract a predetermined customer market
• Assist the area managers in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desire standards of quality food, service, cleanliness, merchandising and promotion

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in Food & Beverage Management of a first-class hotel, at least one of which was in the position of Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
• College or University Degree (Hospitality Management,) and or equivalent experience
• Demonstrate knowledge of an ability to manage Food & Beverage operation, obtained through hotel school, university and / or equivalent experience and apprenticeship training
• Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction
• Demonstrated ability to lead & motivate others
• Even-tempered and able to manage stress and long working hours
• Effective written & verbal communication skills
• Considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests, and employees

You will need a work permit to be able to work in the Caribbean. The company will assist you with this process however please note that you will need to provide a criminal record / background check, notarised copies of your passport and certificates / qualifications as well as a reference letter from a previous employer.
