Job Summary
The Deputy Manager – Indirect Purchase is responsible for managing procurement of indirect materials and services, ensuring cost efficiency, timely availability, compliance with company policies, and strong vendor management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute procurement of indirect goods and services (e.g., admin, utilities, IT, MRO, logistics, services).
- Develop and maintain approved vendor lists; evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and performance.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms to achieve cost optimization.
- Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders and follow-up for on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and specifications.
- Monitor consumption trends and control indirect procurement budgets.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, and approval matrices.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reports in ERP systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in indirect procurement or supply chain roles.
