Job Title: Content Specialist

Department: Marketing

FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Location: 2252 N. Broadway

Moore, Oklahoma 73160

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch (including occasional weekends)


General Purpose: To create content that effectively promotes the product and services of Home Creations and its subsidiaries to specific target audiences.

Supervision Received: The Content Specialist works directly under the Marketing Manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Know the product and services of Home Creations and its subsidiaries (e.g. value propositions, departments, floor plans, communities, home features, etc.)
  • Understand the target audiences and the intended message (e.g. internal publics, home buyers, homeowners, realtors, etc.)
  • Maintain consistency in the execution of the Home Creations brand in all marketing content for print and digital media (e.g. logo, iconography, color, graphical elements, legal verbiage, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop content needed for marketing campaigns.
  • Generate new and update written content for print and digital media for the purpose of promoting the product and services of Home Creations and its subsidiaries when needed.
  • Assist and create graphic design elements for print and digital marketing as needed (outdoor signage, flyers, newsletters, social media, website banners, etc.).
  • Assist in creating and scheduling monthly content calendar for social media platforms.
  • Assist with logistics & manpower for events as needed.
  • Attend other meetings with external service providers as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing team on daily, monthly, and yearly projects.
  • Ability to write copy for blogs, radio advertisements, newsletters, etc. as needed.
  • General website maintenance - update listings, photos, landing pages, etc.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in relevant field (journalism, marketing, advertising, and communications) and 1+ years of work related experience.

Must submit a portfolio of relevant work that demonstrates graphic and content style (creative, flow, sentence structure, grammar and punctuation).


Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Writing and attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials

Knowledge of graphic design processes and procedures

Working knowledge of a variety of computer applications (e.g. Adobe Creative Suites – InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)

Microsoft Office applications and Google Drive

Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong organization skills

Ability to interact with variety of personalities

Photography and basic video editing


Nice-to-Have:

Some experience in the following: Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Google Ad words, SEO/SEM, Facebook Ads, basic HTML knowledge, WordPress, CRM, and bulk email software (e.g. Benchmark, MailChimp)

Some experience working with a variety of inbound marketing tactics: blogging, public relations, SEO, social media, link building, and email outreach


Work Environment: Office environment. The noise level is moderately quiet.


Physical Demands:

Required to sit for up to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and to stoop or kneel.

Requires hand and eye coordination while viewing computer monitor and/or drawings often.

Requires a high volume of using computer mouse and/or keyboard typing with fingers.

Must be able to carry equipment up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Tools and Equipment: Computer (must know both Mac & PC platforms), telephone, and general office equipment.
