Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Fund Development, the Content and Marketing Manager is responsible for:

  • TNDC’s brand across all media platforms with the goal of creating engaging and impactful content to expand the brand.
  • Create and manage content focused on growing the brand and aligning with Fund Development annual goals and tactics.
  • Produce high-quality and targeted content for feature stories, profiles, blog posts, social media, and other marketing materials. Create accompanying print and digital art and graphics as needed
  • Tell TNDC story on the web (including website, blog, social media), and in print publications (including annual report, giving campaigns, and other marketing collateral) for a variety of audiences that include staff, board members and other individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and media.
  • Manage the TNDC website and other online platforms content.

 

Wage range: $82,700 – $87,300/year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Create, manage, and execute content related communication and social media strategy for the Fund Development Department
  • Create written content that helps achieve Fund Development Department fundraising goals and adheres to TNDC’s brand guidelines. Aim to expand the existing followers, donors, and website visitors
  • Creation and production of all promotional print and digital collateral materials, but not limited to newsletters, e-mail blasts, annual report, fundraising and promotional brochures.
  • Work with Director of Fund Development and other department staff to develop on-brand messaging for the department to use in all fundraising materials. Integrate messaging across multiple channels, including: Direct Mail, E-appeals, brochures, website, email signatures and other channels
  • Provide communications and marketing support for fundraising events (Annual Celebration and Pool Toss), Grand Openings, Groundbreaking and other special events including creating, managing promotion and assisting onsite at the events. Design and produce all communications materials including save the date, invitation, program, web presence, e-invites, and other collateral as requested
  • Participate in donor-centered fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events, tours of TNDC buildings and programs, and tabling events
  • Using WordPress, manage TNDC website for the Fund Development Department, including event pages, financials, and donation pages, making sure contents current, and frequently updated. Coordinate closely with their departments for content provision.
  • Primary responsibility for maintaining and improving the company website, regularly reviewing and updating web site content to insure timelines, accuracy, and usability of information. Responsible for expanding TNDC’s followers and website visitors.
  • Maintain and organize photograph database. Continually add fresh images to TNDC photograph database by coordinating at least one photo shoot each year, and create an organized, searchable filing system. Maintain model release process for Fund Development Department
  • Project manage fundraising campaigns, including organizing kick-off and debrief meetings, coordinating audience segmentation, A/B testing, and content among multiple team-members, and developing process workflows
  • Manage direct mail program, including writing letters, reply devices, and coordinating the design, printing, and mailing
  • Manage contract design consultants, writers, photographers, and printers and provide quality and budget control.
  • Design and update collateral materials for all departments across the organization
  • Act as the main contact for TNDC’s logos, branding guidelines, and photos for other department needs
  • Promote activities, meetings, job and volunteer openings, and campaigns as-needed on TNDC’s social media
  • Maintain the info@tndc.org email and direct messages to other departments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including professional level copy editing, and proofreading.
  • Expertise in reporting news and events, interviewing, and generating content for a variety of media and audiences
  • Experience in MS Office, Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite, Photoshop proficiency. Desirable skills and expertise: graphic design, photography, video/podcast production.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications preferred but not required
  • Two to four years of professional experience in communications/marketing.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in managing website content and social media for an organization, preferably nonprofit.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the diverse populations of TNDC, including donors, tenants and staff.
  • Minimum of one year of design experience and ability to direct and manage external designers on collateral materials.
  • Experience using social media, email and web communications to achieve brand engagement and organizational goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds in order to perform essential functions
  • Knowledge of Raisers Edge database and CONVIO Luminate
