Job Description:

Diffit is an AI-powered instructional materials platform designed to help teachers do their best work more sustainably. Teachers use Diffit to get “just right” classroom activities, saving time and helping all students access grade-level content. Come join a growing remote-first and mission-focused AI edtech company to build quality, safe and affordable educational resources for teachers and students.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Community & Social Media Lead to define what community means at Diffit and build it into a thriving ecosystem that educators can’t find anywhere else.

Your primary focus will be community leadership: shaping and scaling the Diffit Ambassador Program and creating standout spaces and experiences where educators connect, learn from one another, and advocate for Diffit. You’ll reimagine existing spaces (like our Facebook group) and design new ones that make Diffit feel indispensable to educators.

You’ll also own Diffit’s social media presence, ensuring it authentically reflects our community and amplifies educator voices. While growing follower counts isn’t the goal, you’ll use social as a storytelling and advocacy channel — bringing the community’s energy to life and strengthening Diffit’s teacher-first brand. Events and ambassador-led advocacy will round out your work, giving educators even more ways to connect with and through Diffit.

And you won’t be starting from scratch: Diffit already has hundreds of active ambassadors, a strong social presence, and a beloved brand that educators trust. Your challenge is to build on this foundation — strengthening what works, reimagining what could be better, and creating new opportunities for educators to connect and champion Diffit.

Responsibilities

Community (primary)

  1. Lead the vision and growth of the Diffit Ambassador Program — taking what already exists and reimagining how we recruit, onboard, engage, recognize, and measure success.
  2. Reimagine existing spaces (like our Facebook group) and create new ones that make Diffit’s community indispensable for educators.
  3. Build scalable systems and playbooks that ensure community engagement grows sustainably as Diffit scales.

Social Media (secondary)

  1. Own and evolve Diffit’s social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook — ensuring it reflects and amplifies our educator community.
  2. Serve as a confident on-camera presence for videos, livestreams, and spotlights, while shaping brand voice and creative direction.

Educator Events & Advocacy (occasional)

  1. Represent Diffit at select events and provide support for ambassadors leading trainings or sessions.

Qualifications

Required:

  1. 2+ years in community management, social media, or related roles (edtech or education community preferred)
  2. Experience as an educator, instructional coach, or in another K–12 education role
  3. Confident on camera and experienced with creating and editing short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.)
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple ongoing initiatives

Preferred:

  1. Background working with ambassador, influencer, or brand advocacy programs
  2. Experience managing social accounts and community programs
  3. Familiarity with tools like Canva, social media scheduling platforms, and community management tools
  4. Data tracking and reporting experience

Success in This Role Looks Like

  1. Diffit’s educator community is thriving, authentic, and irreplaceable.
  2. The Ambassador Program is a self-sustaining engine for advocacy and adoption.
  3. Social channels amplify community voices and strengthen Diffit’s teacher-first brand.
  4. Scalable systems and playbooks enable community programs to grow with Diffit.

What We Offer

  1. Competitive salary and benefits package.
  2. Fully remote work environment with regular in-person offsites.
  3. The opportunity to work on a meaningful product that impacts the future of education.
  4. Collaborative and supportive team culture.
  5. Base salary of $80,000 – $120,000 plus equity and benefits
