Job Summary:
We’re looking for a dynamic Communications Manager to drive Venu’s communications strategy and help elevate our brand. In this role, you’ll manage email marketing, social media, content distribution, and event planning, while also supporting our exciting new Venu podcast network. The ideal candidate will be a creative communicator with experience in multi-channel content management and event support, eager to make an impact in a fast-paced, growing company.
What You Are Accountable For:
- Campaign Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute strategic PR campaigns that drive excitement for artists, shows, venue initiatives, and corporate announcements.
- Content Creation: Write and edit press releases, speeches, media pitches, and other promotional materials that align with VENU’s corporate brand voice and objectives.
- Social Media Management: Manage social media platforms, track engagement, and optimize content to enhance brand presence and foster real-time audience interaction.
- Communication Distribution: Oversee the dissemination of key communications to stakeholders across multiple channels, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all messages.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, reporters, and key stakeholders to secure positive media coverage for VENU brands.
- Press Tracking: Monitor and track media mentions for all VENU brands, keeping detailed records and ensuring visibility across press channels.
- Web & Digital Presence: Manage the press page on VENU websites and ensure that content is updated regularly with the latest press releases and media features.
- Industry Monitoring: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and public sentiment to refine PR strategies and remain competitive.
- Event Representation: Act as a representative for VENU at key city and industry events, festivals, and community engagements, ensuring consistent brand presence and outreach.
- Event Conceptualization: Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to plan and develop key events, ensuring they align with VENU’s brand objectives and target audience.
- Event Scheduling: Coordinate the logistics of press conferences, company-sponsored community events, and promotional activities, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish..
- On-Site Support: Provide on-site support during events, overseeing event setup, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring everything runs according to plan.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Assist in gathering feedback and tracking metrics after events to assess the effectiveness of communications and identify areas for improvement.
- Nationwide Event Coordination: Support the planning and coordination of investor events across the nation, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders (some travel may be required).
- Assist in Planning and Developing Channel Content: Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to conceptualize episode topics, guest selection, and content themes that align with Venu’s brand and audience
- Coordinate and Schedule Channel Guests: Manage outreach and scheduling for guest interviews, ensuring smooth coordination and a positive experience for guest speakers.
- Support in Production: Assist with pre-production tasks such as scriptwriting, research, and question preparation to ensure engaging content.
- Oversee Recording and Content Logistics: Handle scheduling, recording setup, and technical support during recording sessions to ensure high-quality production.
- Collaborate on Editing and Post-Production: Work closely with the editing team or external vendors to oversee edits and finalize content while maintaining brand standards for sound quality and messaging.
- Manage Content Distribution and Promotion: Upload episodes to podcast platforms, update metadata, and create promotional materials (social media content, email blasts, website updates).
- Analyze Performance: Track listener metrics, gather feedback, and make recommendations for improving content based on audience engagement.
Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, preferably within the hospitality or entertainment industries.
- Demonstrated success in managing social media platforms and growing audience engagement.
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills with attention to detail.
- Email Marketing: Proficient in creating, executing, and analyzing targeted email campaigns using platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, or similar tools.
- Social Media Management: Skilled in monitoring, engaging, and growing social media presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Content Creation: Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling press releases, email copy, social media posts, and speeches.
- Event Planning: Experienced in coordinating and managing logistics for events, including press conferences, community events, and corporate engagements.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Media Relations: Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure positive coverage.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong collaboration, networking, and relationship-building abilities, both internally and externally.
