The Communications Intern will support ALPLA’s marketing, communications, and CSR efforts in a variety of initiatives. This position is Hybrid/Remote that will be tailored based on each individual's needs.
- Assist in planning, writing, editing and managing digital & print communications for NOAM
- Collaborate in the management and creation of content for external social channels dedicated towards sustainable living in tandem with agency - may include additional content creation for TikTok & Instagram to support current agency + Sustainability intern efforts
- Build relationships while working cross-functionally in various departments including but not limited to Sustainability, Quality, Leadership team and HR.
- Assist in the coordination of monthly and weekly content development, along with the scheduling and publishing stories for ALPLA’s internal SharePoint & external Sustainability Website
- Work closely with Communications Specialist to standardize current communications efforts across the organization + formalize North America communication processes
- Collaborate with Communications Specialist on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communications across the organization
- Design visuals (static & video) for Digital Signage & NOAM postings
- Assist in the preparation of culture month activities, CSR brainstorming, strategy planning + initiatives
- Support production and editing process for video and photo content + maintain accessible database of imagery + videos + ads/marketing material created
What makes you great
Qualifications/Skills:
- Background/studies in Marketing, Communication or other related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Suite
- Experience with social media and web - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
- Team player who is willing to ask questions and is comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a casual working environment
- Possesses excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail; able to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
- Self-starter, good time management, creative & collaborative
- Willingness and adaptability to take on challenging projects and propose new solutions/ideas when needed
What you can expect working with us
The Communications internship is a 4-6 month program, working about 20-30 hours per week. This is a paid internship with the potential of converting to a full-time ALPLA employee in 2024.
