Assistant Project Manager (HVAC/Construction)
Prime Mechanical is a commercial HVAC contracting and service organization engaged primarily in the private sector of the industry. Our clients include major building owners, building managers, tenants, construction managers, and general contractors located in the New York metro area. The contracting division of the company prepares formal bids and installs commercial HVAC systems ranging from tenant office and retail renovations to building infrastructure upgrades. In addition to plan and spec contracting, we are frequently retained on a turnkey basis where Prime Mechanical is responsible for every aspect of the HVAC project.
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team whose principal duties will include:
- Studying design plans and specifications
- Preparing and presenting request for design information and bid qualifications
- Assembling and organizing bid and project documentation.
- Procuring, reviewing, and submitting trade shop drawings and equipment submittals for the project engineer’s approval
- Releasing and tracking equipment orders
- Attending project site meetings and walk-throughs
- Scheduling site deliveries and building system shut-downs
- Field verifying the installation pace, details, and quality of direct or subcontracted trades
- Preparing project Operation & Maintenance manuals
- Preparing project close-out documents
- Attending in-house meetings
- Preparing miscellaneous proposals

Starting annual salary range is $60,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience.
