We are looking for skilled Assessment Writers to join our team for the development of assessment items for educational courses. The successful writer will be responsible for creating medium-level questions that align with specific customer requirements and industry standards.

General Ecology
General Ecology offers an in-depth exploration of how ecosystems function and interact. Learners will study both biotic and abiotic factors that play crucial roles in sustaining ecological balance. Key topics include the flow of energy through food chains and webs, nutrient cycling, and the dynamics of populations—covering growth models, carrying capacity, and factors influencing population size and structure .The course examines species interactions such as competition, predation, and symbiosis, and explores community structure and biodiversity.
Learners will learn about primary and secondary succession and how these processes shape ecosystems over time. Additionally, the course addresses conservation principles and practices, with a focus on analyzing human impacts on ecosystems and exploring strategies for sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
● Item Writing: Develop high-quality assessment items (e.g., multiple choice, multiple select, matching, ranking/ordering) that closely align with provided evidence statements and learning objectives.
● Adherence to Standards: Ensure all items follow industry-standard writing practices, are grammatically correct, and free of errors or misspellings.
● Final Delivery: Submit items in their final form, consistent with customer guidelines, including the Item
●Development Handbook, and ensure they meet the specified criteria.
● Item Format and Accessibility: Items must be formatted properly, free of bias, and comply with accessibility standards, including the client Digital Accessibility Policy. Item images must include alt text.
● Originality and Uniqueness: All items must be original and not recycled from previous work or other projects. Items should be unique, with no duplicate or variant questions.
● Item Types and Flexibility: Follow recommended item types, but if a different approved item type is more suitable, seek customer approval before using it.
● Use of Images and Graphics: If applicable, include images/graphics in items per the specified file type and image guidelines. Formulas and calculations should be provided separately via a Word document through the customer’s FTP site.
● Bias-Free and Inclusive: Ensure items are unbiased and accessible to all learners, including those with disabilities.
● Quality Control: Review and refine items for clarity, consistency, and alignment with course objectives.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience in writing assessment items or educational content.
● Strong understanding of assessment development and educational standards.
● Familiarity with item writing guidelines and accessibility standards.
● Ability to create high-quality, error-free, and engaging assessment items.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within established deadlines
Timelines and Payout:
Expected Project start date : Jan, 16th 2025

Expected Project Duration: 1 month (Approx).
Time Availability : 25-30 hours per week
