Responsible for all aspects of the accounting portion of the billings and receivable process.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a full understanding of the prime contract (owner) billings process including billing generation by project teams, maintenance of the invoice log and entry into the company’s books.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the various types of contracts used by the company and the various situations which may impact project billings (retention escrows, purchase orders outside of contracts, etc.).
- Maintain a full understanding of how billings and receipts postings occur within company books including postings to Job Billing (JB), Job Cost (JC), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Cash Management (CM).
- Perform timely and accurate processing of project billings by working with field teams, systems integration, subcontracts payable accountants, accounting management and company executives.
- Provide timely and highly accurate cash management processes including deposit of cash receipts, monitoring of electronic cash fundings, entry of funds received into B360 and invoice log notification of project receipts.
- Maintain the integrity of billings and receipts data within B360, Receivables email in-box organization and maintaining thorough, well-organized receivables and billing files.
- Maintain the “Receivables Desk” electronic and physical areas as a shared environment so that seamless operation of it occurs in your absence by others with Receivables Desk responsibilities.
- Provide reporting related to the Receivables Desk functions including the Monthly Billing Status report, daily cash reporting and audit confirmations / schedules.
- Create, update and maintain billings and receivable policies and procedures.
- All other job duties as assigned.
