What you will be doing

As of August 24, 2021, AmerisourceBergen requires all U.S. team members to be fully vaccinated and show proof of completed vaccine status at time of hire. Shift/Hours: Standard business hours are 8:00am to 8:00pm, EST, Monday through Friday. Individual must be able to work rotating shifts between the hours of 9:30am to 6:30pm or 11:00am to 8:00pm EST on a regular basis.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to customers with accurate answers to questions and concerns regarding products and services; if unable to provide assistance, escalates customers to next level Supervisor in a courteous manner.
  • Processes all phone, fax, mail, e-mail, and provider portal (web) orders from customers, and maintains current open order reports.
  • Assists with customer problems such as missed shipments, price adjustments and backorders; continually strives for prompt resolution.
  • Performs data entry for purposes such as processing orders, accessing previous orders and special orders, and providing customers with current prices; researches any other inquiries as requested.
  • Updates the existing customers on any new programs, promotional activity, products and services as well as inquires and assists with any current issues or unresolved problems.
  • Makes suggestions and recommendations to Management in an effort to continually improve customer service operations.
  • Performs account management including review of new account set up, credit check, account balance, payment history
  • Maintains confidentiality in regards to account status and the financial affairs of clinic/corporation.
  • Communicates effectively to customers to ensure accurate and timely order processing and payment.
  • Frequently works with field sales associates in coordinating orders, providing quotations, and researches any other inquiries as requested.
  • Works with warehouse associates, customers and field sales associates to ensure that the order process runs smoothly.
  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned. Duties may be altered from the above as necessary.

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accounting, computer sciences, medical billing and coding, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a two year associate’s degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively in order to improve customer satisfaction
  • Familiarity with ABC products, services and pharmaceutical distribution operations
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel applications

  • This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
