Job Description:

PFD seeks a Training and Compliance Specialist to assist the department in creating and maintaining a reference library and training program for all groups within the department. The Training and Compliance Specialist will report to the Assistant Director for Administration and Finance.
 

  • Develops and maintains a playbook for PFD procedures, policies and legal compliance.
  • Collaborates with the department’s senior leadership to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for employees.
  • Develops programs and curriculum for the employees of the organization both for orientation and in-job training.
  • Maintains a database of all training materials.
  • Analyzes the effectiveness of training and workshops and developing appropriate modification as needed.
  • Ensures the compliance of PFD employees with departmental policies and state and local regulations.
  • Provides support and mentoring for new employees while conducting an evaluation and identifying sections where improvements are needed.
  • Creates and oversees a Brown Bag Lunch series for the department.
  • Performs duties as assigned.
  • Applicant must have at least three (3) years of full time, or equivalent part time, professional experience relevant to job responsibilities. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is highly desired and may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience
  • Previous experience as a teacher or trainer preferred
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with best practices in process documentation
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
  • High computer literacy and ability to pick up new software and platforms quickly
  • Demonstrated collaborative working style that fosters teamwork, including with multiple internal stakeholder groups
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to a range of audiences
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to react to problems quickly
  • Ability to self-manage, troubleshoot and understand when to escalate sensitive priorities and/or raise issues with executive staff/stakeholders.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment
