Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Louisville, KY (onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead projects with application teams to make sure cloud infrastructure and configurations follow best practices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Work with architecture teams to discuss and help make decisions about cloud architecture and design, offering advice and recommendations.
- Build and manage reliable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Nexus, and Sonarqube to make software delivery easier and faster.
- Collaborate with development teams to move applications onto GCP, ensuring the process is smooth.
- Help with networking and systems tasks in the cloud environment.
- Set up and manage strategies for cloud governance, including security, cost management, and cloud usage for the entire organization.
- Continuously monitor and improve the performance, security, and scalability of cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Follow and enforce security best practices, including managing user access (IAM), workload identity, and other related projects.
- Automate cloud deployments using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Groovy, and Bash to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues related to DevOps and cloud infrastructure, minimizing downtime.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in DevOps, cloud technologies, and automation, and recommend improvements.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Google Cloud tools, Github, and the Harness Platform.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for applications and APIs using tools like Jenkins, Nexus, and Sonarqube.
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix complex technical issues.
- Ability to work well with teams, both inside and outside your organization, with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Leadership skills to manage and lead a team of engineers effectively.
- Knowledge of Cloud Governance practices, including managing costs, security, and compute resources.
- Familiarity with cloud networking and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code principles and tools like Terraform, Ansible, Groovy, and Bash.
- A commitment to continuous learning, staying current with the latest DevOps, cloud, and automation best practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
