As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise technology, Employee platforms team, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.

Job responsibilities

1. Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
2. Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
3. Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
4. Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
5. Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
6. Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
7. Manages making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
8. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience
2. Current knowledge of telephony PBX environments, dial plan schemes, trucking, reporting of usage and capacity metrics.
3. Hands-on experience in application architecture and design patterns (hands on experience with Sonus/Ribbon SBC / Kandy Link, CUCM, KANDY, etc.)
4. Industry experience in Information Technology with a specific emphasis on SIP Networks and interoperability with blended technologies, including integration into desktop solutions.
5. Adept knowledge in VoIP transport, such as H.323, SIP, call admission and control mechanisms, integration of cross platform technologies, centralization of call processing and network policy enforcement
6. Working experience with protocols such SIP, H.26x, WebRTC, SIPREC, Networking Routing Protocols, etc.
7. Knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and basic programming languages or database management systems (Python, Shell, Java, Python)
8. Working knowledge on Monitoring Tools such as Splunk, Netcool, SevOne, Empirix.
9. Basic to intermediate knowledge on ITIL, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering methods and/or hands on experience.
10. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Proficient automation knowledge
11. Experience in a large global enterprise using Agile methodology in a DevOps environment supporting telephony technology on virtual and cloud server platforms.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

1. Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or system performance assessments
2. In depth understanding of SIP Protocol, Session Border Controller
3. Ribbon SBC / Kandy Link / Telecom Carriers /
4. Cisco Call Manager / Cisco UCCX / Unity Connection
5. Experience with Linux OS, commands
6. Scripting
7. - Power Shell / Python / BASH
