Ironistic is seeking an experienced SEO specialist that can lead the strategic direction and execution of SEO efforts that align with our client’s overarching digital marketing strategies. The SEO specialist will work closely with the account services team to develop SEO strategies and manage our client’s day-to-day social media content and engagement initiatives. You will also work with our creative team to visually enhance our client’s brand and online presence across social platforms and collaborate with social media and content specialists to help bring our digital strategies to life.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 3+ years of work experience as an SEO specialist or similar position
- In-depth knowledge of SEO practices and current trends and experience with SEO reporting
- Expertise in technical elements of SEO, such as canonicals, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, schema markup, etc.
- Understanding of and experience in local search optimization.
- Knowledge of basic HTML as it relates to SEO.
- Ability to plan and execute content creation in-line with SEO strategy
- Experience planning and executing SEO strategies
- Experience reviewing website performance and usability in relation to SEO
- Ability to implement foundational SEO recommendations in a WordPress environment.
- Experience completing keyword research
- Experience with website analysis using various analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Google Search Console, as well as internal reporting tools.
- Experience working with popular SEO tools (Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.) and managing campaigns within those platforms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SEO best practices and standards and proven ability to use SEO tools and analyze data
- Proficiency in managing moderate to large-scale SEO accounts in a variety of different business verticals.
- Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Some knowledge of social media platforms, including GMB, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook
- Ability to adhere to brand guidelines when developing social media content, graphics, and video content
- An understanding of grammar rules and how to construct clear sentences and write compelling and engaging content specific to each social media platform
- An understanding of how to best market to a variety of different audiences within B2B, B2C, and B2G industries
- Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills
- BS/BA degree preferred
- Agency experience is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Digital Strategist/Project Manager to build and execute SEO strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
- Crafting SEO strategies and providing proactive recommendations for clients tailored to their unique goals, strengths, and challenges.
- Provide recommendations and execute in-depth keyword analysis and on-page optimizations. Use keyword volume, competition data, search intent, and other relevant data points to choose keywords appropriate to client brand/size/industry.
- Assist with content strategy and implementation, making sure that content aligns with best practices and user search intent.
- Aid in the setup and maintenance of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager tracking.
- Regularly assess the technical health of client sites, provide recommendations for improvement, and communicate findings to the Account Services and Dev teams (whatever is applicable).
- Effectively articulate results of recommended optimizations and initiatives and formulate next steps accordingly (whether positive or negative).
- Outline key insights and takeaways in reports.
- Prioritize initiatives by impact and ease of implementation.
- Formulate timelines for key deliverables and delegate to supporting team members.
- Keep pace with SEO/SEM industry trends and developments.
- Train, support, and review tasks of SEO and Content Specialists.
- Take ownership to develop and adhere to standard operating procedures
