About the Role:
To accelerate the next phase of organic growth in both new and legacy search environments SelectQuote is growing its SEO/AI search team. The SEO & AI Search Specialist will work in coordination with the SEO search team to achieve SEO/AI search performance goals. This position will be responsible for executing SEO initiatives for SelectQuote one of the country’s preeminent national insurance brokerages.
The SEO & AI Search Specialist is responsible for the execution of organic and generative search deliverables ongoing optimizations and performance monitoring & reporting. SelectQuote is looking for candidates with an analytical mindset entrepreneurial spirit and an appetite for entities and embeddings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive content execution via keyword/prompt/topic/entity research competitor analysis and audience intent mapping
Create SEO briefs for net-new content and optimizations that help our writers create highly structured relevant content that satisfies user intent and surfaces in search.
Provide regular reporting on SEO/AI visibility and performance
Partner with other SEO team members to research and test strategies for emerging AI search landscapes
Collaborate with paid media and other digital content teams to ensure a cohesive online presence
Work with Web and UX teams to improve on-page performance metrics for key landers
Stay current on latest news & trends in SEO/GEO/AEO industry
Skills/Abilities:
Strong understanding of foundational SEO elements content structure user intent and how to craft content for both search engines and humans.
Familiarity with how LLMs operate and an enthusiasm to learn more
Comfortable testing and utilizing AI tools for tasks and workflows
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Able to analyze large data sets and derive actionable insights
The ability to collaborate with stakeholders across channels
Resourceful autonomous curious
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and min. 2–4 years SEO experience
Experience in an YMYL industry (insurance, fintech, or health)
Track record of driving measurable performance improvements
Skilled with relevant industry software such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console etc.
Working knowledge of HTML – Bonus points for CSS, Javascript, or Python proficiency
Nice to have – experience working with Contentful
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
