We are seeking a Civil Rail/Transit Engineer to join our Transportation & Infrastructure team in our Hartford, CT office. As an Engineer you will have the opportunity to lead the team for Rail Facilities site/civil projects, manage and mentor staff in the design and delivery of key Rail Facility site/civil projects, and engage with engineers, designers, project managers and clients to deliver high quality projects on schedule.
Additional Duties For The Senior Civil Engineer Will Include
- Project planning – Rail Facility
- Cost proposal development and preparation (technical scope development and discipline fee estimates) and other business development activities
- Project Controls
- Preparation of permitting & construction documents (CD’s)
- Storm water management / conveyance system design
- Experienced in the management of site utility design
- Soil erosion & sediment control design
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- A current PE license (CT license preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Rail / Transit civil design of commercial, educational, industrial and/or government facilities projects; Specifically design experience in:
- Rail facilities site planning, layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, and site utilities, track design
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and staff to deliver on schedule and within budget
- Civil 3D and or OpenRoads is a plus
- Knowledge of interpreting local (CT) codes, ordinances, municipal/state permits, land development approvals, CTDOT standards, policies, procedures, & design guidelines
$91,526.00 - $119,608.00
