Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Plant Manager will manage and maintain all aspects of the manufacturing facility and be responsible for the supervision of sewing staff-in-training and the record keeping associated with production sewing contracts. The Plant Manager will ensure contract obligations are met regarding quality and shipping schedules.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Monitors production-shipping needs and reacts accordingly; hiring and scheduling personnel in order to meet sales demands. Provides accurate feedback to senior management.
- Prioritize and stages materials for transport and coordinates movement of materials to assure quality and timely completion of assigned orders.
- Sets up work stations and production procedures for optimal production while maintaining established quality standards. Advises senior management on station improvements to maximize efficiency.
- Observes all operations of manufacturing process and works with supervisors/leads incorporating clients in as many processes as possible.
- Supervises sewing personnel. Responsible for orientation and periodic reviews of sewing operators.
- Conducts all quality control inspections as assigned and completes any discrepancy reports, including a preventative measure to prevent reoccurrence of the problem.
- Works closely with the quality control team and conducts quality assurance training to all personnel to ensure that all quality standards are met throughout production.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, manage timekeeping of staff and all contract requirements.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or another related field. Sewing a plus!
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Supervisory or management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- CPR & First Aid required (will certify).
- Forklift certification preferred
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Must pass a drug test, physical, and background check.
Facility Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, with overtime and Saturdays as needed.
