Job Responsibilities:

1. Schedule patient appointments for various services, including diagnostic and surgical procedures.
2. Obtain and verify necessary demographic and insurance information from patients.
3. Register patients and accurately enter data into the scheduling system.

Required Qualifications:

1. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
2. Completion of the Patient Access training course.
3. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
4. Detail-oriented, organized, and possesses excellent customer service and communication skills.
5. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and Medicare coverage structure.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
2. Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR).
3. Bilingual in English and Spanish or Creole.
