We are seeking a dedicated Virtual Intervention Specialist to support students' educational and developmental needs through remote engagement. This role involves designing and implementing tailored instructional strategies, utilizing learning technology, and providing personalized support to students with diverse learning requirements. Duties
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials suitable for online delivery, ensuring alignment with educational standards and individual student needs.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize lessons, track progress, and facilitate virtual instruction.
- Plan engaging lessons in literacy, math, physical education, and other core subjects, incorporating instructional design principles.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction to support students’ academic growth across various subjects including early childhood education, preschool, toddler care, and special education.
- Manage classroom dynamics virtually by applying classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions.
- Use effective communication skills to engage students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or behavioral challenges.
- Monitor student progress through assessments and feedback tools within the LMS platform; adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
- Support literacy education, writing skills development, and social-emotional learning initiatives remotely.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student interactions, progress reports, and lesson plans while ensuring confidentiality.
Experience
- Prior experience in classroom teaching or tutoring across early childhood education, special education, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, instructional design, and learning technology integration.
- Experience working with children of various age groups including preschoolers, toddlers, or students with disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and online teaching tools is essential for effective virtual instruction.
- Background in classroom management, conflict resolution, behavior management strategies, and educational programming such as Montessori or private school settings is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills paired with the ability to work collaboratively with families and educational teams are critical for success in this role.
EMPLOYMENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor Degree and licensure in Special Education (Intervention Specialist)
-Valid Ohio teaching certificate or license.
-Meet Federal Highly Qualified Teacher standards as determined by ESA.
-Appropriate criminal record as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 per week
