Motion Graphics Associate Producer – Gaming Video Team / Freelance + Remote

Schedule: 9:30 AM–6:30 PM EST with 1-hour break for lunch
W2 Rate: $45 - $55/hr

Summary
An international gaming company is seeking a talented freelance Motion Graphics Associate Producer for its Video team. The Video team exists to engage, inform, and activate their global gaming community by creating high-action video content. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, with attention to detail and a willingness to learn alongside a talented team. This person will serve in a production support role, working closely with a team of Video and Design Producers—managing resourcing, timelines, scope creep, quality control, and deliverables throughout the lifecycle of 2D animation projects. They’ll lead and monitor a small team of Motion Graphic Artists and their projects from inception to final delivery.
Day In The Life
- Work with Video and Design Production teams and Motion Graphic Artists to make sure all tasks are organized, prioritized, and assigned across all teams
- Own the creation of project timelines based on other post-production milestones and team resources
- Communicate schedules and deliverable needs to internal and external teams – and maintain milestones along the project schedule
- Manage all production schedules, assignments, and task tracking within Wrike, ensuring it is always up-to-date
- Ensure the gathering and delivery of in-progress and final creative assets to key team members on time – e.g., work with brand and design leads to request and even upload working files for animation
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders
- Route work-in-progress assets for review with Brand, Legal Marketing, and Post-production leads for approvals
- Make sure internal leads are reviewing, providing feedback, and approving work on schedule
- Ensure all feedback is routed to artists and implemented
- Anticipate issues and communicate them rapidly to stakeholders
- Manage project scope creep and escalation for last-minute pivots
- Ensure final delivery of all assets to key recipients
- Be resourceful and guide solutions with minimal oversight
- Encourage and help maintain a positive, upbeat, and professional environment
Gotta Have
- 3-5 years working on relevant 2D projects in a fast-paced post-production environment with specialization in motion graphics/animation – e.g., video game company, advertising
- agency studio, post-production house, etc
- A high-level understanding of full post-production workflow
- Ability to understand full project vision from beginning to end – including how one asset may need to be adapted for various sizes on social media
- General knowledge of animation terminology, file compression, and video file types – e.g.
- Seasoned experience with video review tool: SyncSketch
- MP4, PSD, ProRes, animation codec, alpha channel, vector files, and composition
- Seasoned experience with video review tools – e.g., SyncSketch
- Expert experience with Wrike - or similar project management tool
- Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud experience – e.g., ability to open and assess viability of pre-existing design files for use by team; ability to open creative assets and verify that all required files are included
- Solid experience with Slack, Google Workspace/Microsoft Office
- Ability to seek out any and all information needed to complete projects successfully
- Experience needed to review the work being produced for completion of desired tasks and quality control (QC)
- Highly organized with excellent production management skills – strong familiarity with assigning tasks onward for expert adjustments, approvals, etc
- Self-starter able to maintain tracking systems to ensure the extended team is updated on project status at all times
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment to meet deliverables - and even find a more efficient path forward
- A go-getter who can spin plates and respond to conflicting priorities while staying cool under fire
- Reliable and timely communication
- Personable, with natural ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically across teams to lead cross-functional engagement, as needed
- Must have own hardware and, preferably, own Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud account
