Job Description:

We are looking for a Freelance Social Media & Brand Manager to lead and execute social media strategies that elevate our clients’ brand presence and engagement across various platforms. As the brand voice, you will be responsible for crafting compelling content, driving community engagement, and ensuring that all social media efforts align with overall brand goals. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth.
  2. Create, curate, and manage high-quality, engaging content across social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and others.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all digital touchpoints.
  4. Monitor, track, and report on social media performance, offering insights and recommendations for optimization.
  5. Manage online communities by engaging with followers, responding to comments, and cultivating relationships with key influencers.
  6. Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep brands relevant and competitive.
  7. Support brand management efforts by ensuring that all communication reflects the clients’ brand voice, values, and positioning.
  8. Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, tracking performance and optimizing for maximum impact.
  9. Conduct competitive analysis and audience research to identify opportunities for brand growth and differentiation.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Social Media & Brand Manager, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns.
  2. Deep understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content creation best practices.
  3. Strong writing skills with the ability to create engaging and on-brand content.
  4. Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
  5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  6. Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and how social media fits into larger brand strategies.
  7. Must be eligible to work in the USA.

Preferred:

  1. Local candidates in the Baton Rouge area are strongly preferred, as knowledge of the local market and culture is crucial for building authentic, engaging brand campaigns.
  2. Experience working with local and regional brands is a plus.
