The Realtime DevOps team runs the core technology behind Zoom meetings — including multimedia routing, cloud recording, and live streaming. We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Manager with strong experience in colocation data center operations to lead teams in the US and India.

You should have a deep understanding of large-scale, real-time systems that require low latency and high reliability, both in colocation and cloud environments. Experience with Kubernetes or similar tools is essential. Your goal will be to modernize and optimize our realtime services to improve reliability, automation, cost efficiency, and scalability across our global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor a team of high-performing DevOps engineers managing real-time backend systems.
2. Oversee the daily operation of Linux-based infrastructure in data centers and cloud regions.
3. Drive automation across provisioning, scaling, patching, and recovery workflows.
4. Monitor performance and optimize the use of compute, storage, and network resources.

What We’re Looking For

1. 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
2. 3+ years of experience managing technical teams.
3. Strong hands-on background in Linux systems, networking, and distributed systems.
4. Experience running low-latency, high-throughput backend services at a global scale.
5. Familiarity with real-time media technologies (e.g., MMR, WebRTC).
6. Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, and packet capture tools.
7. Direct experience managing data center hardware provisioning and troubleshooting.

Compensation

1. Salary Range: $146,700 – $339,300
2. Zoom’s total compensation includes base pay, bonus, and equity value.
3. Final pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and location.
