Position Responsibilities

  • Operation Oversight: Support GM/ DO by supervising and making sure daily operations of Picnik Restaurants runs smoothly including managing employee schedules, inventory control, and maintaining quality standards in food preparation and service.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance to the restaurant team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Support in conducting regular team meetings with GM and/ or DO to communicate goals, expectations, and ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training staff, as well as creating and managing employee schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Uphold the highest standards of Guest service by ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, addressing concerns, answering questions, and supporting upselling of new and existing menu items.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with the GM/ DO and finance department to monitor and manage the restaurant’s budget, expenses, and sales goals. Optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Training, Development, and Performance Management: Support new hire training and new initiatives for the team to enhance their skills. Identify and nurture talent within the team, providing regular feedback and coaching to employees to support professional development and improve performance. Maintain accurate documentation on employee performance to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and recognize achievement.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow strict health and safety regulations, conduct training sessions with the KM and Regional Chef to guarantee a safe and clean environment for the team and Guests.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Work closely with the GM/ DO and marketing team to execute promotional activities, special events, and marketing campaigns to attract new Guests and retain existing ones.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans for the restaurant, aligning business objectives with long-term goals.
  • Support GM & DO with other tasks, as needed.

 

Position Requirements

  • Happy, helpful, hungry, honest, and strong work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years in management experience within the service industry
  • Experience with service and production in a full-service restaurant setting
  • Experience with restaurant systems and cost controls (Schedules, Inventory, P/Ls)
  • Experience with vendor relationship, product ordering and invoice organization
  • Computer knowledge (Google Drive & Suite, Toast)
  • Experience with supporting a strong and successful team
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.
