Position Summary

John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPMS) is seeking a skilled Magento Product Manager to implement and support digital executions that adhere to web best practices and brand guidelines and reinforce our company identity. An integral part of the Digital Marketing team, the Magento Product Manager will oversee and manage the development lifecycle—coordinating with peers and stakeholders to execute scalable front-end solutions that best enhance our customer-experience. The magneto product Manager communicates with internal and external partners to agree on project requirements, scope, and timeline, provides suggestions on the architecture and/or possible 3rd party solutions available in the eCommerce ecosystem and implements the solutions according to Magento and internal to the team quality standards and best practices.

 

The successful candidate will contribute to the code and architecture quality guidelines to ensure the stability and extensibility of the projects. This individual will work directly with other (Backend and Frontend), developers, Project Managers, and agencies to build, maintain, and improve the eCommerce website using industry-standard methodologies and will also mentor in house developers. Will work in a fast-paced and growing environment where your expertise will play a meaningful role within the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Team to design and implement development cycles
  • Coordinate with Team and stakeholders to set and adhere to achievable milestone dates
  • Manage, communicate, and champion a timely release schedule for features and hotfixes
  • Manage license opportunities and partnerships with third parties
  • Delegate tasks and organize communication between development team members
  • Validate codebase for Magento 2 development, SEO, and Accessibility compliance
  • Test and provide feedback on digital experiences
  • Architecting and implementing several Magento extensions
  • Optimizing the systems for better response time and higher traffic
  • Proven attention to details and ability to spot issues and suggest improvements while doing code reviews

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of magento development and/or digital product management experience required
  • Magento certification highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field highly preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of the web/software development lifecycle and Agile software development
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS, Javascript, React.js, and PHP
  • Experience in developing for Magento 2 and PWAs
  • Experience with various 3rd party integrations and services and API Implementation
  • Experience with customizing and solving problems with different domains of the Magento platform
  • Experience with creating technical diagrams and writing user documentation
  • Experience with SEO Best Practices
  • Experience with Accessibility Best Practices
  • Demonstrable understanding of database concepts and optimization
  • Experience with Github/Gitflow Workflow
  • Excellent written communication, problem-solving, and process leadership skills
  • Experience as a tech team lead or manager
  • Working knowledge of web development and UI/UX best practices to provide strategic recommendations to Creative teams and ensure seamless execution
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, digital and web software· Proactive, creative thinker; able to work independently and take ownership to produce measurable results
