If you are looking for a company that invests in its culture in a fast-paced, supportive, and dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.

Our clients trust us to increase their revenue and build both short-term and long-term business. We embrace the dynamic nature of our industry and always ask ourselves, “How can this be done better?” and “How can we provide more value?”.

Overview

  1. The NCI Team is responsible for the successful onboarding of our valued hotel clients into our Dynamic Sales Solution (DSS) Program and other specialized programs.
  2. Reporting directly to the NCI Manager, the Strategy Analyst is a key component of our client implementation process. Additionally, the Strategy Analyst ensures a successful client launch and overall partner success by playing a critical role in understanding market dynamics, identifying demand generators, assessing hotel performance, and building custom sales strategies to drive revenue.

What’s in it for you?

  1. Position is home-based (remote) during client’s business hours and requires occasional travel for in-market visits and in-person meetings.
  2. Working within a fun and fast-paced environment, Gillis’ culture offers dynamic training, ongoing coaching, and a deep commitment to taking care of our employees.
  3. Competitive salary (range: $57,000 - $60,000), quarterly incentives and an annual profit-sharing bonus.
  4. 15 accrued PTO days per year.
  5. Additional “Gillis Days” in months without an observed holiday.
  6. Comprehensive benefits package.
  7. Team offsites.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate closely with NCI Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless support and execution of partner programs.
  2. Conduct Thorough Assessments during the onboarding process to uncover sales performance gaps and provide actionable, strategic recommendations.
  3. Analyze Market Data to design and implement tailored sales strategies that support hotel revenue goals.
  4. Identify High-Impact Activities to accelerate revenue generation within the first 30 days of launch.
  5. Develop Comprehensive Sales Action Plans for new hotel clients using data sources such as STR, historical performance, market trends, and production reports. Assist in compiling sales assessments, action plans, and prioritized prospecting lists.
  6. Communicate Effectively with hotel partners to gather insights, manage expectations, and maintain high client satisfaction.
  7. Confidently Deliver Engaging Client Presentations during Discovery and Kickoff Calls with hotel teams to outline partnership strategy.

Requirements

  1. 3 or more years of experience in hotel sales or revenue management roles performing duties such as active selling, analysis, building sales action plans, and building trusting relationships with hotel clients.
  2. Proven hotel sales professional with extensive experience across multiple brands (ie. IHG, Choice, Hilton, Marriott), brand portals, and reporting tools.
  3. Track record of success in acquiring new business in key segments: Corporate/BT, Crew, Government, SMERF, and Associations.
  4. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret STR, TravelClick/A360, brand reports, and PMS data to uncover strategic opportunities.
  5. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with hotel clients and team members.
  6. General hotel operations knowledge.
  7. Ability to travel occasionally to attend in-market visits with clients and in-person meetings (ie. Team Offsites, Trade Shows, Conferences, etc.).

Technical Proficiency

  1. Strong ability to use all Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) to effectively manage your portfolio of hotels by creating and analyzing reports, delivering presentations, and presenting progress updates.
  2. Ability to work remotely from your home office at a computer for extended periods of time.

Other Skills

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and deliver general correspondence, proposals, and reports.
  2. Strong organization, time management, and adaptability skills are essential.
  3. A collaborative team player who is goal-oriented, eager to contribute and learn from others, while seeking continuous improvement.
  4. Applicant can reside anywhere in Canada or the USA.
