Bogopa Service Corp. is a privately owned company that operates 32 full-service supermarkets in the Tri-State metropolitan area (NY, NJ, CT) under the name “Food Bazaar.” For more than 30 years we have been providing our communities with the flavors they love and recall from 'back home,' exotic and unique foods as well as basic essentials. We devote aisles of space to international grocery (specializing in Hispanic, Caribbean, and Asian products) and dairy/frozen items as well as a full-service fish market, a huge selection of local and international produce, a full-service deli, bakery, and custom butcher. With thousands of products waiting to be explored, Food Bazaar always provides a true culinary adventure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Order, replenish, and merchandise floral and plant products.
• Engaging, coaching, and developing department managers and their teams for the maximization of sales and profits in floral categories
• To deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to department managers, operation team, and vendors.
• To educate department managers in product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
• Ensure that department managers work to maintain clean, efficient, well-stocked category with competitive prices and knowledgeable customer service.
• Some work will be performed in a temperature-controlled store/warehouse environment. Occasional exposure to outdoor environment with varying temperatures
• Travel up to 90% of time between stores (NY/NJ/CT)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Comprehensive knowledge of floral products
• Working knowledge and application of all floral merchandising expectations within the department with a specific focus on attention to detail
• Strong demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems.
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility.
• Strong work ethic and integrity
• Passion for floral and plant category
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
