The position supports our corporate, distribution centers and store operations with facilities needs including, but not limited to: store repairs, dealing with outside vendors and liaising with store staff and corporate associates to facilitate building repairs including HVAC, electrical, rodents, ADA compliance, hurricane preparedness, and plumbing. This person will deal with landlords regarding their responsibilities such as roofs, common area and any other items identified in Lease Agreement. Coordinates sign repairs, secures approvals and works with vendors for installations.
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:
Essential Duties
- Works with third party vendor, and/or customer run service providers to coordinate repairs and maintenance of various lines of service at the store level, including but not limited to ticket tracking, dispute resolution, communication of ETA’s, confirmations of completed jobs.
- Ensure compliance with lease obligations and local ordinances.
- Follows standard protocol for Capital Expense items, in addition to reviewing and approving all invoices
- Performs monthly assessment of Corporate buildings along with Distribution Centers
- Works with purchasing and warehouse personnel to locate and distribute items to stores such as animal pens, fixtures, tiles and etc.
- Follows standard protocol including but not limited to updating internal and external reporting
- Facilitate payment of all vendor related invoices including but not limited to accruals and budgets
- Supervises and assigns the work of facilities coordinator.
- Manages and cures OHSA/ADA complaints and compliance
- Curing facility related default notices
- Assist in managing relationships with landlords and vendors, including review and approval of service contracts.
- Coordinate with other departments (ex: Operations, accounting, finance, marketing, and merchandising) in relation to facilities functions
- Performs any other job-related duties and/or tasks that may be assigned.
Job Requirements/Education
- Prior Supervisory skills minimum 5 years as a Facilities Supervisor/Manager.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills with keen attention to detail; organized, methodical approach to execution
- Positive attitude; patient and flexible
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure atmosphere
- Strong business acumen with the ability to strategize and provide critical thinking and judgment needed to evaluate complex situations and solve problems.
- Advanced level MS Office skills including: Outlook, Excel and Word, knowledge of Smartsheet a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
- A bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum retail experience of 5+ years as a Store Manager with direct supervision of non-exempt employees.
