A home care organization located in Brooklyn is actively seeking a creative and dynamic professional to join their staff as their new Content Writer. In this role, the Content Writer will be responsible for crafting accurate, engaging, and online optimized copy that aligns with digital and offline content strategy.
Responsibilities
The Content Writer will:
- Prepare comprehensive content strategies that align with company goals
- Manage content creation, and revision across multiple platforms
- Work with other team members to identify stories needing updating and revisions
- Create and manage a content roadmap
- Help support sales team with up-to-date content material
- Assist in planning, creation and oversight of all sales and marketing materials
- Brainstorm and collaborate with team for new ideas and content strategies
- Work with the Social Media Manager in developing innovative content
- Create schedule and calendar plans for content releases
- Assist in management of all online and print content materials and campaigns
- Manage content on the website, intranet, blogs, social media pages, newsletters, email campaigns, etc.
- Help to develop training, process and playbooks as needed
- Research markets and industries to compare strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or a related filed
- Extensive new media editorial experience
- Proficient with MS Office products (Word & Excel)
- Proficient with multiple content management systems, and at a minimum WordPress
- Adept at SEO best practices
- Ability to work in team environment in person and over digital platforms
- Ability to multitask and take initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
