Job Title: CX Content Development Specialist
Type: Freelance, 40 hrs/week
Start: Targeting June 2025
Length: 1 year contract, with potential to extend
Location: Remote (U.S. based)
Compensation: Up to $35/hr DOE
A leading cloud-based software platform is hiring a CX Content Development Specialist to help level up their internal and external support content. This is a fast-paced, high-output production role where you'll translate technical concepts into clean, accessible documentation that empowers users and internal teams alike.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Interview subject matter experts across product, CX, design, and training
- Write and optimize external help center articles + internal support guides
- Maintain macros and internal resources that align with support tone
- Collaborate with training teams to ensure consistency and cohesion
- Support content needs tied to feature launches and process changes
- Provide and receive clear feedback in peer content reviews
Must-Haves (Don’t Apply Without These)
- 1–3 years of technical or product documentation experience
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a clear portfolio
- Ability to take complex workflows and simplify them in writing
- Confident operating independently and juggling multiple deadlines
- Familiar with style guides, UX writing, or customer support ecosystems
