The Opportunity

QVC's looking for a creative Assistant Print Designer to support Print Design and Colorist in the development of brands. Reporting to the Senior Print Designer, you will contribute to interpret print designs for the proprietary brands. You will have many-sided responsibilities to support the print and color design process including market and trend research, print concepts by brand, and color selection. You will input and update all seasonal color palettes and print palettes and help input all artwork and color for brands into Flex PLM! Our Design teams are in the office at least 1 day per week however, they do come in twice a week to support important meetings as requested.

Your Impact

  • Create original artwork using drawing, painting and Ned Graphics skills
  • Work with the print design team to learn software techniques necessary in developing production ready print artwork
  • Maintain awareness of seasonal trends and use the print design library and online resources to help print designers
  • Manage the print design team's pantone library
  • Color matching and creation of brand palettes in our design software. Help make color comments on print strike-offs
  • Input artwork file into PLM system and manage palettes and BOMs in PLM
  • Contribute to clear data integrity and maintain all processes owned by Print Design team in our Product Lifecycle Management
  • Work with apparel print designers to ensure all artwork is correct scale for the garment
  • Follow the seasonal time and action calendars
  • Work with internal sourcing teams, buyers and technical design to enhance calendar issues and provide resolution to maintain calendar dates
  • Approve print strike offs, embroidery submits, and other development materials sent from factories
  • Work with internal material management teams to provide feedback and direction to complete approvals properly

What You Bring

  • You have a bachelors and background in Fashion Design, Textile Design or Fine Arts
  • 0-2 years fashion industry experience
  • You have the skill to Influence global merchandising teams to gain support for product
  • You have knowledge of how product is sourced, developed and marketed
  • Understand multi-market merchandising strategies
  • Proficiency in PC operation, MS office and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator software
  • PLM experience or comfort learning new design systems
  • View and differentiate the color spectrum
