The chosen candidate will hold a MN Administrator license or be willing to become licensed with the next 2 years.

POSITION SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, directs, and manages assigned departments. Assists with quality improvements, public relations, facility budget and regulatory compliance. Employee is expected to be pleasant, respectful, and courteous to all residents, families, visitors, and fellow employees at all times.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manages departments as assigned.

-Oversees Child Daycare Center

-Oversees departments for which responsible in goal setting and plans to accomplish objectives. ­

-Evaluates department structures, processes, and systems. ­

-Proposes changes to administrative team. ­

-Maintains policy development and revision in areas of responsibility.

Manages the quality improvement functions of departments for which responsible. ­

-Assures departments are meeting standards and regulations. ­

-Monitors progress of problem solving in assigned departments. ­

-Maintains relationships with residents, families, employees, and department heads. ­

-Maintains knowledge of regulations and assists Administrator in developing plans to meet regulations.

Troubleshoots programs for assigned departments. ­

-Monitors all monthly reports and makes recommendations to administrative team for changes/improvements. ­

-Monitors implementation of regulatory changes. ­

-Monitors financial status and efficiency of assigned departments.

Assist Administration with organizational development and enhancement. ­

-Coordinates outside contracts. ­

-Assists Administration in assessing program development to enhance public relations. ­

-Manages budget development and compliance of departments for which responsible. ­

-Conducts rounds in departments weekly to assess overall operations and makes recommendations to administration. Performs miscellaneous duties. ­

-Chairs Committees as assigned. ­

-Assists with revisions of personnel policies, resident care policies, and job descriptions. ­

-Submits reports to Administrator as requested. ­

-Participates in on-call schedule for administration. ­

-Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: ­

-Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Minnesota. ­

-Familiar with long term care reimbursement. ­

-Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning long term care.

­-Must communicate effectively through both oral and written modes. ­

-Must initiate, develop and implement new programs and policies. ­

-Must be able to read, write, and speak English. ­

-Must be able to perform physical job demands of position. ­

-Exercises confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
