Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Residential Education and Student Success, the Manager of Academic Success and College Completion is a full-time professional staff member who provides high-quality services to the residents of LARNB. The Manager of Academic Success and College Completion is responsible for the health and safety of students; education program development and administration; data assessment & evaluation; and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including higher education institutions, trade schools, and nonprofit partners to ensure students are equipped to achieve their college completion goals.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; work with a positive young adult centered approach that inspires, motivates, and empowers LARNB students to be successful; have excellent organizational and time management skills; demonstrate creative thinking and problem solving, and have a demonstrated record of assessment and continuous program improvement.

 

The Academic Success and College Completion Coordinator role is an annual contract, with review periods at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

● Cultivate and maintain relationships with appropriate education institutions to support the educational needs of clients

● Create and facilitate on on-site tutoring and supplemental education program, recruiting and managing volunteers ● Support clients in applying for post-secondary education and CTE programs; provide ongoing coaching to clients struggling to enroll

● Facilitate tours and site visits to educational institutions

● Identify, refer, and connect clients to appropriate community resources

● Coordinate with staff and external partners to support clients

● Meet with assigned clients regularly to ensure that education goals are being met

● Utilize Trauma Informed, Strength-Based, Harm Reduction and Housing First philosophies in all interactions with clients

• Complete specified documentation in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with established organizational protocol and productivity standards
