Responsibilities:Responsible for daily shipping activitiesTransportation & logistics experience a mustAnalyze and propose methods of sustained productivity increasesMaintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouseEnsure safe working conditions including properly training employees on proper safety methods, assists Human Resources with the management of worker compensation claimAudit various paperwork and postings for accuracy and compliance with appropriate local, state and federal laws, statutes and company policiesEffectively counsel and manage employees on attendance, performance and/or misconduct; continuous employee training and developmentExperience with AS 400 database for the purpose of measuring the pick accuracy and performance of employees (cycle count, bin walk, etc)Manage the maintenance and repairs of all warehouse-related equipmentAdditional tasks as assignedRequirements:High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferredFive years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience5 years' experience in Warehouse Department management in a manufacturing atmosphereKnowledge of local, state and federal OSHA safety regulationsExperience in forklift certification and inspection, hazmat certification, operating various warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.)Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shiftMust be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training)Must have strong leadership and organizations skillsAbility to work a flexible work schedule with a "hands-on" management styleMust be detail orientated and a team player; Excellent oral and written skills; excellent organizational skills and driven to excelLeadership and decision-making skillsBasic computer skillsExperience with retail accounts that have compliance/routing guidesSo, what are you waiting for?
