2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Engineer role in Customer Solutions & Delivery (Customization Layer) is designed to develop and maintain configurable, scalable software solutions that adapt to diverse customer needs without compromising the company’s ability to grow. This position involves hands-on technical leadership, problem-solving across codebases, and building platform capabilities primarily using TypeScript and Python on AWS. The role is critical in transitioning the organization from bespoke customizations to reusable, extensible experiences and preparing for future integration of agentic AI technologies.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design and implement configuration-driven solutions to separate customer-specific logic from core business code

• Develop reusable components and patterns for common workflow steps such as request intake and delivery

• Minimize brittle branching logic by creating composable primitives and clear extension points

• Collaborate with product management, delivery, and cross-functional teams to define scope and success metrics

• Implement changes across multiple services, including testing, documentation, and operational readiness

• Investigate and diagnose issues systematically, triaging bugs with evidence-based severity

• Build solutions with observability, security, and stability as core principles

• Ensure production readiness including edge case handling, safe migrations, and rollback plans

• Align with teams owning customization endpoints to establish extensible patterns

• Contribute to architectural direction through design documents and implementation alignment

• Share knowledge and mentor peers via reviews, pairing, and coaching

• Identify and implement workflows for safe, maintainable use of agentic AI in customization requests

• Measure and evaluate AI integration outcomes to mitigate risks of bugs or technical debt

• Collaborate throughout the delivery lifecycle from scoping to validation and feedback

4. Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering production-grade backend systems

• Proficiency or ability to quickly learn TypeScript and Python, working across multiple codebases and services

• Experience with cloud ecosystems, particularly AWS, including deployment and monitoring

• Strong investigative skills to resolve ambiguous technical issues using data and reasoning

• Clear communication skills to document designs, explain trade-offs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams

• Expertise in relational databases and data modeling, including complex SQL, PostgreSQL, and maintaining production RDBMS systems
