Job Purpose:
The Social Media Manager will execute and oversee global organic social media content and operations across Talent Systems brands, including creative and copy development, video production and editing, content publishing, strategy definition, reporting, and results analysis across all social media platforms. Social media oversight includes management of external social media copywriters/copy editors as needed, community management & moderation in partnership with Support, and adopting a test & learn mentality in order to make data-driven decisions. While the social media function sits within the Product Marketing & Growth team, the Social Media Manager will partner closely with the SVP, Marketing and the Content and SEO team on social media marketing strategies that promote brand awareness and consideration, drive audience growth and engagement, and educate and inspire our audience of performers and industry professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of two social media specialists (based in the US and UK)
- Oversee and manage all social media activity including; content posting and creation, approvals, brand positioning, influencer management and relationships, liaising with other teams and line of business.
- Define the global social media strategy understanding the goals and objectives of each brand in the Talent Systems family.
- Drive monthly social media audience growth by leveraging analytics and insights to identify top performing content and create more of that content.
- Develop a distinct, branded look & feel for each brand and social channel, working independently and with external vendors to create on-brand assets.
- Define and launch a social partnership strategy to grow and engage our audience, including in-market influencers, complementary brands, contests, offers and giveaways.
- Define a social media content calendar that considers industry events and seasonality, product releases, and brand and influencer partnerships.
- Monitor and report on content and channel performance weekly and monthly, identifying and acting on areas of opportunity based on key KPIs (reach, engagements, reactions, views, etc.).
- Develop a social listening program aimed to be an early alert system of brand reputation risk, including escalation paths and response plans.
- Stay on top of entertainment industry news and social media best practices, recommending and launching new social media platforms and strategies as needed.
- Manage external social media copywriters and copy editors as needed, guiding them on the voice and tone of each Talent Systems brand.
- Identify and recommend social media management tools to improve efficiency, including scheduling platforms, video and GIF production software, etc.
- Build, maintain and socialize reports covering social media performance metrics.
- Define and launch Talent Systems’ social video strategy across social platforms, identifying and producing content that drives likes, follows and comments.
- Develop multiple video franchises across brands that provide value for Talent Systems’ performer audience, including audition tips, casting notices, and exclusive casting content.
- Identify video KPIs and develop and socialize reports tracking weekly and monthly video performance growth.
- Perform additional duties focused on marketing design and branding as needed.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- 5+ years of digital marketing and communications experience.
- Strong familiarity with the casting & performing arts industry.
- Has a keen eye for on-brand creative design and messaging.
- Excellent writing skills and grammar with the ability to develop succinct, punchy copy for social.
- Ability to independently produce high-quality social copy, creatives (using Canva and Adobe Suite) and video/gif content is a huge plus.
- Experience with all necessary software and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Upwork, Wibbitz, VEED, Later, Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to pull and analyze metrics and to identify performance trends and areas of opportunity from a dataset.
- Outgoing and willing to interface with unhappy customers on social media and appear on-camera in social videos.
- Ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
