Job Description:

The Social Media Manager will drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation by developing and executing a strategic social media plan. This role blends creativity, strategy, and data-driven decision-making to build an active, engaged online community across consumers, realtors, builders, and loan officers.

Essential Functions:

Content Strategy & Social Media Management

  1. Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand visibility, drive engagement, and support business goals.
  2. Execute social strategy with creativity and deliver engaging content that aligns with brand goals and drives audience engagement.
  3. Plan, create, and schedule high-quality content (written, visual, and video) across all Synergy One Lending social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube.
  4. Identify and execute real-time engagement opportunities, trends, and viral moments that align with the brand's voice and objectives.
  5. Maintain a content calendar to ensure alignment and timely, relevant posts.
  6. Maintain company’s automated social posting program.
  7. Work closely with the video production team to incorporate compelling video content into social.

Audience Growth & Engagement

  1. Drive audience growth by increasing followers, engagement, and overall reach across platforms.
  2. Develop strategies to encourage user-generated content and community participation.
  3. Monitor and respond to audience interactions, including comments and messages, to foster relationships and maintain Synergy One Lending’s reputation.
  4. Leverage influencer partnerships, customer testimonials, collaborations, and industry connections to expand brand reach.

Performance Tracking & Analytics

  1. Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics using analytics tools.
  2. Conduct social listening to monitor brand sentiment and industry trends and identify opportunities.
  3. Provide actionable insights based on data to optimize social strategies and content decisions.

Brand Management & Storytelling

  1. Ensure consistency in social brand messaging, tone, and visual identity across all platforms.
  2. Work closely with the marketing team to develop storytelling-driven content that highlights Synergy One Lending’s expertise, customer success stories, and key differentiators.
  3. Develop thought leadership content that positions Synergy One Lending as an industry leader in mortgage lending, home financing, and financial education.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication

  1. Partner with internal teams, including loan officers, executives and content creators, to align strategies with broader marketing efforts.
  2. Act as the primary social media resource for company leadership and advise on best practices and trends.
  3. Educate loan officers and regional marketing coordinators on personal branding, content strategies, and social media engagement.
  4. Provide regular performance reports and insights to key stakeholders and marketing team.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

  1. Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling, engaging, and on-brand copy for social media posts and campaigns.
  2. Social media platform expertise with in-depth knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, including their algorithms, trends, and best practices.
  3. Creativity and visual storytelling skills with a keen eye for design, photography, and video content that resonates with audiences.
  4. Analytical mindset with proficiency in analyzing data, tracking performance, and optimizing content based on insights.
  5. Understanding of digital marketing and branding with basic knowledge of content marketing, email marketing, and lead generation strategies.
  6. Flexible and adaptable with the ability to pivot strategies quickly in response to trends, breaking news, and changing business needs.
  7. Proficiency in using social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, or similar.
  8. Proficiency in using photo and video editing applications such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
  9. Time management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities efficiently.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have direct reports.

Education and Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  2. A minimum of five years of experience in social media marketing required, preferably in the mortgage, financial services, or real estate industry.
  3. Experience with social media management tools like Agorapulse preferred.
  4. Background in content creation, digital marketing, or brand management preferred.
  5. Experience working in a regulated industry and understanding compliance requirements for social media in financial services preferred.
  6. Knowledge of generative AI in content creation (e.g., Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT) is a plus.

Physical Demands/ Environment:

  1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
