JOB TITLE: Content Writer

LOCATION: Remote

COMPENSATION: $40/hr

Our learning programs provide teachers with the ability to differentiate instruction, monitor progress, and support learners in their journey toward success.

From English learners, multilingual students, bilingual students and dual language learners who are struggling to read or write, Summit K12’s online, standards-based supplemental curriculum will close gaps and ensure growth for all students.

We are seeking a creative and dedicated remote Content Writer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of English language development. This role involves creating curriculum-aligned materials that support Emergent Bilinguals.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Writing and Communication:
  2. Strong writing and editing skills
  3. Ability to create clear, engaging, and age-appropriate content for K–12
  4. Technical Skills:
  5. Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace and LMS platforms
  6. Familiarity with digital content creation (e.g., slides, videos, interactive tools)
  7. Research and Accuracy:
  8. Ability to research topics and ensure content is accurate and up-to-date
  9. Knowledge of educational state standards
  10. Knowledge of English Language Development
  11. Creativity and Engagement:
  12. Create interactive and engaging materials for diverse learners, especially Emergent Bilinguals
  13. Create unique materials without the use of AI or other technology
  14. Collaboration:
  15. Work well with a team of subject matter experts and editors
  16. Open to giving and receiving feedback
  17. Apply revisions and apply to future content
  18. Organization and Professionalism:
  19. Complete projects and meet deadlines
  20. Adapt to changing needs and ensure high-quality work



QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field
  2. Experience in curriculum writing, teaching, or educational content development
  3. Prepared students to take an English language proficiency test
