GAMURS Group, the world's leading esports, gaming, and entertainment media network, is seeking an SEO manager to oversee and execute strategic and technical SEO for an upcoming gaming publication and assist with other gaming publications.

GAMURS Group is a media group with more than 40 million users per month and several publishers under its umbrella, including Dot Esports, Gamepur, Pro Game Guides, We Got This Covered, The Mary Sue, Prima Games, Gamer Journalist, Attack of the Fanboy, and more.

This role will manage SEO for at least one website but will not directly manage staff.

This is a great opportunity to execute strategic and technical SEO for a large media network with tens of millions of unique visitors per month. Candidates must be self-starters and capable of working independently.

Interested candidates should have a passion for SEO, digital marketing, and the hardware, gaming, and entertainment industries.

We're a global, digital company with offices in Austin, TX, and Sydney, Australia, and other staff based throughout the world.

This role can be performed remotely with the option of employer supported relocation to Austin.

Responsibilities:

- Perform keyword research using tools including as SEMRush, Google Trends, and others and work closely with staff & workflow management to share ideas.

- Assist writing, editing, and affiliate marketing staff in identifying evergreen coverage, breaking news and trending topics to cover for GAMURS' publications.

- Track and update editorial workflow as needed to ensure maximization of traffic and user metrics.

- A deep understanding of why you're executing tactics and making recommendations. This role requires the ability to view data, such as traffic metrics, and translate that data to capitalize and improve user acquisition through SEO.

- Understanding of Google Analytics and other SEO tools such as SEMRush. You will be expected to use a variety of analytics tools, especially Google Analytics, to self-analyze which tactics are working.

- SEO is both an art and a science. A creative and analytical mind is ideal.

- This role will largely focus on the strategic side of SEO but you will be asked to learn and assist with technical SEO.

- Be actively aware of the workflow of the editorial/writing staff and social media staff. This role requires a team player.

- Have intrinsic knowledge about how entertainment news resonates with both focused and casual audiences.
