What You'll Do::

The SEO & Content Strategist, is responsible for developing and executing Arizona College of Nursing’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and content strategy to drive organic search performance. This role is vital in driving our online presence and crafting optimized content to reach new prospects for the College(s). The ideal candidate has a strong aptitude for SEO strategy, content writing, and copy editing.


Essential Responsibilities

  • SEO-Focused Content Creation and Refinement
    • Create content designed to improve search rankings; write and edit content for webpages based on target keywords.
    • Partner with freelance writers as needed to develop, edit, and publish SEO-focused blog posts.
  • Strategy and Execution
    • Develop and execute SEO and content strategies to improve organic search performance across all search engines, increasing awareness, interest, and conversion with prospective students.
    • Perform day-to-day management of SEO projects, tools, and systems.
    • Research, deliver, and execute strategic recommendations for SEO and content optimizations.
    • Be hands-on; demonstrate an in-depth understanding of SEO best practices, content writing and editing, keyword research, link-building, and business listing management.
    • Present SEO and content plans, performance data, and project updates.
  • Analysis and Research
    • Analyze and report on SEO performance; identify opportunities to improve performance.
    • Perform keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities.
    • Monitor and provide information regarding SEO trends and Google algorithm updates, ensuring necessary preparedness and strategy adaptations.

What We Need From You::

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in either Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent skills and experience.
  • 3 or more years’ experience in SEO and content writing/editing, where lead generation was the focus.
  • Expertise in SEO strategies, best practices, and optimization.
  • Direct experience writing copy for the web and landing pages. We request that you provide two writing samples.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools, such as Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and platforms such as BrightEdge or Conductor.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with a multi-location business is preferred, but not required.
