Senior Solutions Architect

Description

In this role, you will be leading cross-functional teams of technology to develop and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant, multi-tenant and extensible web-based solutions and be involved in the complete lifecycle. You will act as a pivotal point for technological decisions and implement industry standards and practices in all stages of enterprise application development.

Responsibilities

· Lead the cross-functional teams of technology to develop scalable, fault-tolerant, multi-tenant and extensible web based solutions. Lead the teams in all phases of the SDLC from initiation to maintenance and support.

· Translate business requirements into diagrams, domain models, well-formed technical specifications, and codified infrastructure.

· Assists in developing plans with respect to TCO, life cycle management, privacy & security and phased deployment

· Constantly review the design to ensure the standards and practices, advocating clarity in terms of developing prototypes and evaluating technologies.

· Continuously review workflows, data architecture, code and integration systems to ensure they comply with the above point and industry practices.

· Ensure established technology standards, patterns, and principles as defined initiatives by the platform services teams and roadmaps

Requirements

· At least 7 years of multi-platform, multi database and multi-language experience, hands on experience with Object Oriented Python and Django

· Experience of designing a layered architecture and leading all stages of its development, deployment, maintenance and integration

· Experience of delivering and maintaining a Microservices enterprise application including micro-frontends, understanding of service discovery, registries and gateways

· Comprehensive understanding of containerisation, auto-scaling systems and Kubernetes

· Comprehensive understanding and experience of APIs, infrastructure, integration standards and data architecture

· Comprehensive understanding and experience of elasticity, 3-tier systems and fail-over models

· Experience with message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ

· Production experience in large environments of automation and configuration management tools

· Experience of information management practices, system development life cycle management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, EA and ITIL frameworks

· Strong understanding and application experience of NIST

· Understanding of ACID and experience of its complying distributed data-architectures

· Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL database solutions such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB

· Familiarity with workflow management tools such as jBMP and Copper

· Familiarity with data storage frameworks and architectures for continuously growing intensive write operation-oriented database management systems and techniques including sharding, namespaces, Spark and distributed parallel processing frameworks

· Familiarity with frontend web development technologies such as React js and Redux
