Job Description:
As a Service Technician at Salon Lofts, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our salons and our Loft Owners’ spaces. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Routine Maintenance:
- Conducting regular inspections of buildings and facilities
- Performing preventative maintenance tasks such as testing lights, updating records, routine inspections of salon facilities
- Repairing and replacing faulty components and equipment.
2. Plumbing and Electrical Work:
- Troubleshooting and repairing minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixtures
- Monitoring and troubleshooting hot water systems
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical minor problems and replacing damaged electrical components
3. Carpentry and Painting:
- Repairing or replacing damaged doors, locks, cabinets, chairs and salon equipment
- Performing minor interior and exterior painting touch-ups and minor drywall repair
4. HVAC Maintenance:
- Monitoring and troubleshooting heating, cooling and exhaust systems
- Performing routine HVAC and controls inspections
5. Exterior/Parking Lots:
- Ensuring that outdoor areas are clean and safe for use
- Ensuring that all salons are easily accessible
6. Record Keeping:
- Documenting monthly preventative maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules
- Maintaining timely and accurate repair history via our computerized maintenance system
- Reporting any major issues or safety concerns to the Regional Facilities Manager (RFM)
7. Customer Service:
- Dedicated to supporting our Loft Owners
- Daily interaction directly with our Loft Owners and Field teams
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Mon-Fri, including being on-call evenings and weekends for emergencies
