Arizona Institute for Resilience (AIR) at the University of Arizona is in search of a Program Coordinator, Earth Grants (Research Program Admin Officer II). This position will coordinate and help develop Earth Grant, a paid internship and leadership development program for undergraduates pursuing careers in environmental and community resilience. Under the direction of Director for AIR Education Initiatives, and in coordination with the Education Initiatives team, the position will be responsible for program execution, decision-making, and communications, including undergraduate student supervision and support, leadership development course facilitation, managing relationships with community partners, and developing new partnerships for program sustainability.

The Arizona Institute for Resilience (AIR) turns science into actionable, community-oriented solutions. Our focus is resilience, the practice of designing environmental and social systems to anticipate and integrate with ecological, social, and economic change.

Grounded in the sciences, we bring together researchers, educators, problem-solvers, and innovators from diverse disciplines across campus – engineering, humanities, economics, public policy, law, the arts, and beyond – to develop innovative and practical solutions to the many environmental and resilience challenges we face today.

Outstanding UA benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance plans; life insurance and disability programs; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; UA/ASU/NAU tuition reduction for the employee and qualified family members; state and optional retirement plans; access to UA recreation and cultural activities; and more!
