You love podcasts, creators, and storytelling—but you’re just as curious about why one version of an ad outperforms another. You’re hungry to learn the craft of performance‑driven audio copywriting, open to structure and feedback, and ready to write a lot, iterate fast, and get better every week.

What You’ll Do

As our Junior Copywriter, you’ll support the Creative Services team in three core areas:


1. Performance‑Driven Copywriting

  1. Write and revise ad copy for podcasts, influencer integrations, radio, and digital audio under the guidance of senior creatives.
  2. Translate Audio Briefs and client inputs into clear, compelling messaging that reflects each brand’s voice and goals.
  3. Structure scripts using Oxford Road’s Audiolytics® and C3 frameworks to maximize clarity, persuasion, and performance.
  4. Draft talking points and live‑read scripts for hosts and creators, ensuring they sound authentic to the talent and show.

2. Testing, Optimization & Quality

  1. Support A/B tests and creative refreshes by developing alternative angles, openings, and calls‑to‑action.
  2. Use creative feedback, Audiolytics® scores, and performance data (with help from Strategy & Analytics) to iterate on scripts.
  3. Help keep copy and file naming organized across campaigns so we can track what wins and build bulletproof case studies.
  4. Contribute to a “wins library” of high‑performing creative examples for internal use and client upsell opportunities.

3. Collaboration, Process & Craft Development

  1. Work closely with Producers, Accounts, Strategy, and Compliance to ensure scripts are on‑brand, on‑brief, and on‑time.
  2. Adopt AI‑assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT‑based workflows, Audiolytics® modules) into your writing process to increase speed and quality.
  3. Participate in creative reviews, C3 quality checks, and quarterly showcases to learn from what’s working across the portfolio.
  4. Contribute to documentation and playbooks that capture creative best practices for future teammates, creators, and clients.


You’ll report into the Creative Services leadership (Senior Copywriter / VP of Creative Services) and be an active part of the department’s mission to produce creative that’s clever, cuts through, converts, and earns client confidence.


What You’ll Bring

  1. ~1–3 years of professional writing experience (agency, in‑house, or freelance) or a strong portfolio that shows you can persuade, not just entertain.
  2. Demonstrated experience writing persuasive copy (ads, emails, landing pages, social, etc.); audio experience is a plus, not a must.
  3. Strong command of grammar, structure, and tone—and the discipline to cut unnecessary words.
  4. Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with multiple deadlines.
  5. Curiosity about data, testing, and what makes people respond to a message.
  6. Willingness to learn and apply structured frameworks like Audiolytics® and C3.
  7. Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) as part of your writing process is a plus.
  8. A genuine love for podcasts, creators, and the broader audio ecosystem.
