Role:

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties, works closely with the HR Director in providing associate and center leadership support. It is the responsibility of the Human Resources Department to represent the Associates and La Reina in all areas of compliancy.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment process, including interviews, and orientations
  • Maintain employee electronic files with hires, terms, and updates
  • Assist employees with questions regarding benefits, 401k, etc.
  • Coach supervisors on how to address and handles associate issues/concerns
  • Provides employees guidance and address employee concerns
  • Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including manuals, employee handbooks, forms and standardized reports
  • Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws
  • Leads employee investigations when concerns are brought forth
  • Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system of the company. Counsels managers on employment issues.
  • Helps to monitor the organization's culture/values to support the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction
  • Perform weekly walks in the plant to be visible to employees
  • Ensure we are on target with Safety Incentive Programs. (incentive program, lunches, gifts etc.)
  • manage workers comp claims (injury report, clinic, interactive process, etc.)
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Assists with the establishment of an in-house employee training system that addresses the company's training needs, new employee orientation and onboarding, management development, production cross-training, and training transfers
  • Maintains employee-related databases and assists with preparing and analyzing reports for management, as necessary or requested (OT/Labor Report, Turnover, etc.)
  • Provides competitive market research and prepares pay studies to help establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain superior staff.
  • The Human Resources Generalist assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the HR Director.

 

Requirements:

  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear understanding of excellence in customer service, sense of urgency, attention to detail and the flexibility to assist in all areas of the HR Department as needed.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office.
  • Flexible schedule and strong organizational skills will be essential.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Independent, team player, self-starter required.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Spanish Speaking/Reading/Writing a must.

 

Compensation Range:

Status: Exempt

  • $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
