Job Description:

The Post-Pandemic Leadership Research Institute (PLRI) is dedicated to advancing research on leadership in the contexts of virtual and hybrid teams, artificial intelligence, finance, change management, women’s empowerment, and the development of leadership traits in children. Our mission is to lead sustainable innovation and foster strong relationships in virtual and AI-driven environments. We are currently seeking 2-3 passionate and creative Marketing Event Planning Interns to support the promotion and outreach of our Leadership Traits for Kids Summit, launching this August in San Francisco. This role is ideal for college students who is passionate about youth development, digital communication, event planning, and community engagement.


Duration

2 months (starting June 16, 2025)

⚠️ Please Note: This is a paid, part-time, and entry-level internship, offering compensation of $18 per hour or a negotiated project-based rate under a 1099 independent contractor agreement. The position offers flexibility in both scheduling and work location and is structured to meet IRS guidelines for independent contractor status, including autonomy over work methods, locations, and hours.


Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies for program promotion
  2. Create engaging content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and email newsletters
  3. Coordinate with graphic designers and video editors on promotional materials
  4. Conduct outreach to schools, community organizations, and parenting networks
  5. Support registration campaigns and virtual information sessions
  6. Monitor and report basic analytics on campaign performance
  7. Collaborate with the program director and research team to align messaging with educational goals


Qualifications

  1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, Public Relations, or a related field
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  3. Creative mindset with experience in content creation or social media management
  4. Passion for children’s education and leadership development
  5. Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, or similar tools is a plus
  6. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks
  7. Familiarity with digital marketing trends and community outreach strategies
  8. High ethical standards—honesty, empathy, care, creativity, diligence, and accountability—are essential when working in the field of children's programs
  9. Valid work authorization is required
