  4. Work with authors directly to create compelling marketing material.
  5. Craft compelling press materials, including press releases, media kits, and targeted outreach strategies to generate widespread media coverage.
  6. Lead and coordinate book launch events, author tours, and virtual promotions, ensuring seamless execution and maximum impact.
  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with team members from various departments to ensure alignment, share insights, and drive company-wide initiatives.
  8. Oversee digital marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, paid advertising, and email marketing initiatives.
  9. Develop innovative marketing assets such as promotional materials, A+ content, and ad creatives to enhance book visibility.
  10. Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand marketing reach and audience engagement.
  11. Represent Arndell in internal and external meetings, offering insights and recommendations on campaign strategy.
  12. Stay informed about industry trends, media shifts, and emerging marketing tools to continuously enhance promotional efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, publishing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Director level: 4-5 years of experience in book marketing and publicity, with a demonstrated track record of successful campaigns. Senior Director level: 5-7 years experience.
  3. Passion for romance, with an understanding of current cultural and industry trends.
  4. Strong leadership skills, with experience collaborating across departments.
  5. Exceptional communication, organization, and project management abilities.
  6. Proven ability to secure high-profile media coverage and cultivate relationships with key media figures.
  7. Deep understanding of social media marketing, content creation, and audience engagement strategies.
  8. Experience planning and executing author events, influencer campaigns, and strategic brand partnerships - experience working with independent bookstores is a plus.
  9. Ability to travel for author events and/or conventions as needed.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; and experience with design tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  11. A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and solve challenges creatively within the broader team.
  12. Willingness to work outside of normal business hours with international colleagues and to travel for events when necessary (for example, author tours, sales conferences, book announcements).
