As a digital marketing agency, our services at Momentum include planning and managing content creation for new websites, ongoing marketing campaigns, internal marketing efforts, and more. We’re looking for a detail-oriented writer with a background in digital content creation and editing. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to grasp complex, often technical subject matter, and translate it into concise, digestible content written for B2B and/or B2C audiences, depending on the client.
Role and Responsibilities
This person will work primarily to research and write website copy for new client projects, but they will support each of our departments in some way. In addition to website copy, this person can expect to work closely with our Content Manager to write or edit content for ongoing client SEO campaigns as well as work on internal marketing efforts for Momentum. Helping with content creation for PPC campaigns or other internal documentation may be requested on a limited basis with the primary responsibilities for this role being website content creation and SEO campaign content writing or editing. Website Content Creation Responsibilities
- Complete client industry research and prepare recommendations or questions to support team in new website projects and sitemap creation.
- Write website copy for new or redesigned website projects or work orders based on custom wireframes and mockups.
- Work within website framework to add new content to a website (or coordinate with the Website Developer and Project Manager to have content added to the site).
SEO or PPC Content Writing Responsibilities
- Write blogs for content outlined in SEO roadmaps for low budget accounts.
- Proofread or QA third-party content for grammar, punctuation, and clarity.
- Work with PPC Manager to develop new landing page content.
- Support PPC Manager with ad title and description generation if necessary.
Internal Marketing Content and Other Cross-Department Support Opportunities
- Work with Content Manager to write Momentum blog content.
- Help with bi-annual Momentum website content audits.
- Help create case study or portfolio content for Momentum website.
- Work with HR Manager to review job descriptions and correct grammar, punctuation, and clarity.
- Collaborate to build out internal documentation policies or client knowledge base resources as needed
Skills / Experience:
- At least 3 years of professional writing experience across a range of industries like manufacturing and home services (ideally in an agency setting)
- Experience writing and proofreading quality content pieces
- Experience with content management systems, preferably WordPress.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Experience helping with topical research (plus)
- General knowledge of content optimization techniques for basic SEO best practices (plus)
- Experience with Google Analytics (GA), Google Search Console (GSC), Ahrefs, and/or SEMRush (plus)
- Degree in Communication, English or a related degree (plus)

- Upon passing the skill evaluation, potential hires will have a formal interview via video call with the HR Manager, a member of the Marketing Department, and at least one of our two company co-founders. All applicants given an offer letter will be subject to a standard background check. We also complete an i-9 check for eligibility to work within the United States and complete a W-2 check in case of multi-employment situations.
