Job Description:

The Arizona Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired (ACBVI) helps adults who through illness or injury lose their vision, or both their vision & hearing, achieve their independence. ACBVI begins by teaching our clients life skills, i.e. how to cook, how to use a white cane, how to use public transportation, etc., and then we move to vocational skills so that our clients can get back to work. ACBVI tailors our instruction to each client, meaning that we meet each person where they are in the process, and help them get to where they want to be. ACBVI is also one of the very few organizations in the State serving those who are living with combined vision and hearing loss (CVHL) and the deafblind.
